These easy chocolate covered Halloween pretzels are the perfect Halloween treat! Creat spooky ghosts, pretty pumpkins, and funky Frankenstein pretzels.
Halloween Pretzels
Recently I’ve seen Halloween treats floating around on Pinterest. (I can’t believe Halloween is only in a few weeks!).
I decided to make these adorable / mega yummy Halloween chocolate covered pretzels. They were an absolute hit to say in the least.
I made these on a Friday and they were all gone on Saturday morning! So if you’re planning on making these, don’t expect them to hang around for too long. 😉
The good news about these disappearing chocolate goodies is that they are SO easy to make. You could literally make these the night of Halloween for a party.
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Most of these Halloween pretzels only require two ingredients: pretzels and candy melts. But you can use gel icing, sprinkles, or M&Ms to jazz up the pretzels.
My favorite are the adorable little ghosts. It’s probably because they’re the easiest to make–just dip them in white candy melts and create the eyes and mouth with black gel icing.
These pumpkin pretzels turned out more pastel than I was expecting, but I actually really love the light orange color! It gives off a minimalistic Halloween vibe. I used gel food coloring to dye the white candy melts orange. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend this because food coloring ruins the consistency of the candy melts and makes it clump together. You’ll need special candy melt dye if you want to switch up the colors. Or you can just buy a variety of candy melt colors. (Probably the easiest).
If you’re a bit more skilled in dessert making, you can try out these fun skulls and vampires. They’re actually pretty easy to make. The only extra ingredient you need for the skulls are candy bones.
The vampire were a bit more diffuclt to assemble. You need to take two broken pretzel halves and stick them on the main pretzel before the chocolate hardens.
These are the perfect Halloween snacks to make for a large crowd or as a fun Halloween activity. They’re also so versatile because you can change up the quantity, color, or toppings.

How to Make Halloween Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Melt the candy melts (or chocolate) in the microwave. It’s best to do 30-second intervals to avoid burning or clumping.
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip a pretzel in the chocolate and shake the excess off.
Lay pretzel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow pretzels to harden for about 5 minutes.
*If you’re adding sprinkles or toppings, do so now on unset chocolate.
Allow pretzels to harden on parchment paper for roughly 5-10 minutes.
