I used a homemade Strawberry jam recipe (more on that below!), but you could also use storebought strawberry jam if you’re short on time or need the convenience.
You can easily make this jam the night before so all you have to do in the morning is pop some bread into the toaster and use a cookie cutter to create the heart-shaped center.
Serve this toast with a few strawberries and voila! You have an easy Valentine’s Day breakfast idea!
Such a cute and simple way to show someone you love them!
How to Make Valentine’s Day Heart-Shaped Toast
Strawberry Jam Ingredients:
3 Cups Strawberries
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Lemon
3 Tbsp Water
How to Make Strawberry Jam:
-
Rinse and chop strawberries into small chunks.
-
Place strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water in a large stockpot. Bring pot to a boil and stir frequently making sure all the sugar dissolves. Skim the surface for any foam that may collect. Allow mixture to boil for 15 minutes.
-
Test to see if jam is done by spooning onto a cool plate. The jam is done if it sets. Continue to boil if jam is still runny.
-
Spoon jam in glass jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
