Surprise your Easter brunch guests with these adorable Carrot-Shaped Brownies! They are a festive treat that will stand out from the table and everyone will surely love!
Easter is almost here and I wanted to share these adorable carrot-shaped brownies! I love coming up with creative holiday spins on classic recipes, and these Easter-inspired brownies are no different!
These carrot brownies would be adorable paired with an easter bunny recipe or equally as festive served on its own.
This would be such a creative springtime dessert to enjoy after Easter brunch! They are so simple to make. All you need is your favorite brownie mix, frosting, food coloring, and pretzel rods!
Easter Carrot-Shaped Brownies
Cutting the brownies into triangle shapes creates the carrot look. It’s best to use a bread knife while working on a flat surface for easy cutting. And make sure to save the brownie scraps for munching on later!
For the green stems, I simply broke off the end of a pretzel rod and coated it in green frosting. I then stuck the frosted pretzel rod through the top of the brownie which kept the carrot stem secure and in place.
These carrot brownies will add so much personality to the Easter brunch table! Easter guests of all ages will adore the decadent flavor these carrot-shaped brownies have to offer.
How to Make Easter Carrot Shaped Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 Box of brownie mix
- White frosting
- Orange food coloring (or mix red and yellow food coloring)
- Green food coloring
- Pretzel rods
Directions:
- Begin by preparing your brownies according to the package instructions and letting them cool completely.
- Once the brownies have completely cooled, transfer onto a flat surface lined with parchment paper. Use a bread knife to cut triangles. I found one box of brownie mix made in an 8×8 pan allows for 12 medium carrot-shaped brownies.
-
In a small bowl add the orange food coloring to the white frosting and mix until the color is evenly distributed. Frost all the brownies.
- In another small bowl, add green food coloring to white frosting and mix until color is evenly distributed. Break off the end of a pretzel rod and coat with green frosting. Push the frosted pretzel rod into the top of the brownie. Repeat this step for all the brownies.
Kids will love decorating (and eating!) these brownies for Easter. Display them in a small Easter basket for an added touch!
At least we can pretend they are healthy!
