Hi, I’m Bre! I’m the chief executive chef, photographer, and official kitchen mess-maker at Such A Sweetheart! All recipes that live here on my blog are tested in my Colorado Kitchen, which stands at a whopping 5,200 feet above sea level. I ensure that each and every recipe is tried and true before letting them shine on my blog. So, my fellow high altitude bakers, I’ve got your back!
About 2 years ago I went vegetarian. This has led me to experiment in the kitchen and find new ways I can enjoy the previous dishes I once loved. All recipes you see on my site are vegetarian, and most are vegan or can easily be modified to fit vegan diets. I also occasionally share a few of my favorite sugar-free recipes to incorporate into a healthy lifestyle without sacrificing the good of all things sweet.
Let’s talk more about high altitude recipes. Moving to a high elevation means spending a large chunk of time in the kitchen adapting and getting used to the learning curve that comes with baking way above sea level. I want my recipes to taste exactly like the ones I made and loved when I lived at sea level. That’s why I share these recipes; so those of you that live above 3,000 feet can enjoy chewy cookies, fluffy breads, and overall delicious baked goods too!
